I am sick to death of seeing or hearing adverts on all channels of tv and radio about payday loans, gambling, betting and bingo websites. It is ridiculous the temptation people are shown with these adverts when we are living in a recession and people are feeling desperate for a quick way to borrow or get money to help them with their lives but it puts them in deeper debt. So many people get caught up in the circle of borrowing money from these payday loan websites coz they are short of cash for the month. Also the payday loan websites never have enough checks/rules to make sure the people are capable to pay the money back. So they borrow an amount of money and then have to pay it back within 30 days, then they are short of money again the next month and borrow more money from the payday loan websites and then the next thing you know you owe the payday loan company thousands of pounds. Also the same with all these gambling, poker and bingo websites enticing you e.g. deposit £10 and get £30 free to play. The next thing you have thrown £100+ away on these websites. Someone I know has done this a few times in the past year from a certain payday loan and then struggled paying it back to the company. Then they have had to ask friends and family to help them out. I hate the fact that these websites are advertising on tv and radio near enough every other advert. I WANT TO BAN ADVERTISING OF ALL THEIR WEBSITES OFF ALL TV CHANNELS AND RADIO CHANNELS. Please, please join me and sign this petition to save maybe someone you know from getting into serious debt.
