There is NO legitimate science-based reason not to open the outdoor pool at Meadowbrook. It's summer, and I need to exercise in the way my body has exercised since I was 4 years old. Please, Baltimore City, if you have an ounce of legitimate concern for our physical and mental well-being, you will allow Meadowbrook to open the outdoor pool for the summer.

Pools are an important summer recreation opportunity for kids out of school, giving them a chance to learn a survival skill. Outdoor pools give space for social distancing and the chlorine kills germs. Please open city pools!

Please open the pool. Meadowbrook is huge and there is plenty of room for social distancing. People will follow guidelines. It does not make sense that people can get tattoo and go to protests but can’t swim laps. Pools are open in the county just 5 minutes away!

I agree! The pool is (quite heavily) chlorinated; we use chlorine in the hospital to clean off surfaces so as to kill the virus. If bathrooms are a concern, we can shower at home and have several Portapotties outdoors, having each person wipe the interior off with chlorine wipes, and allowing 1/2 hour time between occupants...
