Council member O'Brien's policies on the unsheltered homeless are a complete failure.

The city council does not represent the people of this city. They only represent progressive activists.

Once again Mr O'Brien is supporting an unsustainable, non-extensible solution that damages Seattle's culture and further invites peer cities to send us their indigent and escape responsibility. We are the 18th biggest city and we have the third largest homeless population - does that make sense to you?

The head tax is idiocy. Seattle is doing well because of companies like Amazon, Starbucks, the list goes on. The homeless situation should be handled differently. There is a process that should be developed to help homeless that wish to cooperate and be helped and those who don't want that help be pursued to change their ways or go somewhere else.

The entire council is out of control. Next time you vote in Seattle, REALLY, think about what your voting for. The kumbaya, bike lanes are great didn’t work now did it. Sorry, but most of Seattle is made up of NIMBYS. My friends in Laurelhurst love the progressive agenda. Now they have homelessness and they want action. It’s ok to say, “hey!, get a job”

Current approach to homelss not effective, or sustainable. We should be providing assistance in exchange for work/jobs, not just giving money and services away in increasing amounts.

Get rid of him; Mike is taxing residents out of Seattle; not addressing the ineffectiveness of government, and is promoting homelessness in our neighborhoods.

We need council people who know economics. He and the other 3 Councilmen sponsoring the Head Tax should be thrown out as well as the homeless.

I do not live in Ballard, but living in West Seattle, I must still deal with his agenda. Homeless who do not want to work, (not all of them of course) used needles, garbage, fecal matter and urine. Don't forget bike lanes and road diets on roads that are disintegrating. I could go on, but I would be writing for ever!
