I want to be able to vote to remove Mike O'Brien from the Council because he is not representing his constituents.

Todays meeting at city council was a joke ~ I want to hear what they plan on doing about the people that want to stay on the streets ~ didn't they hear the mayor's representatives? They said 2/3rds of the people in the jungle wanted to stay there even though the city offered them alternate housing. It doesn't matter how much money we spend, we are enabling the problem. The vast majority of the homeless want to stay on the streets. People that are truly homeless and want help have resources, the problem is with the bums and the drug addicts. Let's stop catering to them, the city council is ruining this city.

I saw today homeless people taking a pee on the metro bus, another drinking beer and spilling it all over and another with his pants down.
Seattle, we deserve better.

I was just at the City Counsil meeting on homelessness and Mike O'Brien was more concerned with politics and media relations with the Mayor then the homeless problem. He seemed incompetent to me. Offered nothing.

Really knows how to dodge questions.
True politician. Can't believe he doesn't see what's happening in his own backyard. Maybe it's his way to get endorsements for bigger and better things, you think?

O'Brien's proposal doesn't address real homeless population needs while ignoring residents use of public land held in trust. It also ignores enforcement, as well as public health and safety. We need a plan that addresses these real issues...

Mike is dismissive of the concerns of long term residents, and in the pocket of developers.

Mike O'Brien is a very compassionate activist who is in the wrong job. His election campaign didn't clarify how small of a demographic he would be representing at the local level, which is what we've seen since he took office in January. District 6 needs a council member helping us move forward together. With our good resources, community goodwill and ingenuity, we are primed to be a model other areas look to, not shake their heads at. Please be an activist, Mike, and open up this position to someone who will work with the district in a truly collaborative, local way. (We'll make way more progress on the issues that are important to you and so many of us.)

Mike O'Brien does not listen to or engage his constituents. He chooses what he wants to do and continues on that path, no matter how much opposition. We deserve a representative who is responsive to Seattle residents and taxpayers.
