Your Beatitude Patriarch Ignatius IV Your Eminence the Bishops of the Antiochian Orthodox Church We had always looked with pride at the University of Balamand which grows in the lap of Our Church, especially that it is built penny by penny with your blessing and under the protection of the Mother of God the Lady of Balamand But, despite our faith in the mission of Our Church, we are worried about the way of handling the properties of the Balamand Monastery, especially when they are given to institutions and given names other than their original name. This is exactly pointing to what happened lately where instead of naming the hospital, that we so long waited for, with the name of the Lady of Balamand, the owner of the hill, it was named after the Prime Minister Rafic Hariri. So, despite our respect for everybody and their financial, national and political positions, we don’t see in financing enough justification to name the hospital after anybody other than the Lady of Balamand, the name which bestows on the hospital protection, care and blessing. So, we ask you, as children and with the insistence of zealots, to reconsider the naming of the hospital before starting the building With much respect Your Children
