TFL and the Mayor need to agree to bring the tube to South East London. As brownfield development in this area increases the urban population, investment in transport must match the population rise to prevent a future rush hour commuter nightmare.

Trains from Peckham Rye getting more and more crowded, this would be a huge benefit.

I remember they was thinking about building a extension in Camberwell and i am sure they where thinking of building a station near where Nando is. I still thing it a good idea and the old kent road. lot of the time i have to work in both of those areas. All so other members off staff i work with who don,t live in either boroughs, I say yes.

A brilliant idea. It would help London moving as we know Old Kent Road as 1 of the most dangerous and busy roads in the capital. Supporting this at 100%.

A Bakerloo Line extension could be either to Peckham Rye via Walworth, or to Lewisham via Old Kent Road and New Cross. It can't do both.
Either would be worthwhile.
I think it is important to press for better public transport generally instead of making it into a battle between the two routes.
The chances are that neither will be built.

Old Kent Road and North Peckham have long been the poor relations around here in public-transport terms. Even with the Overground crossing Old Kent Road at Ilderton Road, a station was not provided in a logical spot for one. As Peckham and Camberwell have the Overground, time that Old Kent got the Bakerloo: fair is fair.

The Old kent road is the ONLY major A road in London without a tube.
With the redevelopment of elephant and castle it is essential that this tube line is built, thousands of new homes are being built and yet with no new travel infrastructure -
Boris build a new tube in the old kent road #borisbuildatubefortheplebs
