My son is 42 and is an alcoholic, he was evicted from his apartment so I took him in and it's been very hard. He was getting unemployment but it ran out so I am concerned he will start to take my card to buy alcohol. I am 65 and on a fixed income. He refuses to go to rehab and a court order is what I was hoping for but he's missed court dates

I believe it's a great help for the patient that mentally sick. People tend to overlook people with mental health and so the problem seems to get worse.

It's very difficult for families to get tx for their loved ones who are dealing with mental health issues. Just recently I encountered a situation where ems would not transport a friend who was clearly psychotic individuals to psych er if it had not been for the Crisis Team SW insisting that they take her she would not have received much needed care. These types of provisions (baker act, mental health warrants are needed to ensure safety of citizenry.
