My boyfriends live in ex has tried hurting multiple people and myself bc of mental drug indused psychosis. Threatens to kill me and has made comments to burn our house down. We need her committed and removed. Police do nothing

If a person can be in video saying they want to kill themselves but the police say they don't meet the criteria to be held then hours later jump out a window "only" breaking a limb and be discharged from the hospital because when they're asked if they're going to kill themselves they say no when all evidence indicates otherwise the system is seriously failing people.

There are many cases were a health professional needs to better guidelines and support within the health system to help them make better decisions for admission to mental health facilities for observation and intervention when a patient or family presents them with information regarding one’s action whereas they are a threat to themselves or others.

This is very needed in all states. most people suffering from form of mental illness and they turn to drugs or alcohol or a combination of both. It is often life threatening when it results to screaming rants, late at night blaming other family members for the circumstances.

I think every state should have the baker act. We had to use it on my brother Who is living in florida where they have it. And it saved his life.

This is needed. I have a family member who could use such help.

My fiancé has a pattern of disappearing going on drug binges and in one occasion overdosed on purpose to kill himself. I am very concerned because I love him so much. I wish I could do more for him, and I see this as our last hope for his safety and happiness.

I back this petition 110%! I’ll save the explanation and leave that the Baker Act would be imperative to justice for those suffering with mental ailments in NYS!

We need a Baker Act for loved ones with mental illness who deny they have a problem and/refuse mental health aid.

This is a new WAY to have people who are experiencing menopause and women who own homes that are living with adult children are putting their mothers in mental hospitals so they do not have to take care of them when they begin having early onset dementia. The hospital is an alternative to incarceration is there filthy dirty and people are being abused. The hospital should lose their ability to practice medicine because they're not practicing medicine.... They're practicing doping people and getting them addicted to drugs.
