We live in Muskoka there should be gardens,farm’s,wild animal’s, All of our farms are being taken away I would like to see a whole lot more farms growing their own food too many rules and regulations these days

No different from the Victory gardens, if you provide for your family and make sure you adequately look after the hens the this is a non issue. It is also a great learning experience for children.

I too had chickens when I lived in Huntsville. They are a joy to keep and are a great educational experience for our youth.

I think the boy has a excellent point. Let the poor guy keep his laying hens. He is taking responsibility for looking after them and it is teaching him a great deal with responsibility.

You can have backyard chickens in Toronto, but not in rural Muskoka. How silly. This is a fantastic life lesson for Riley. Time to revisit the Bi-law and update it.
