I thought about this for a few minutes as I didn’t know where I stood. But what brought me around to signing this is the following thought: we allow people to have furry pets of all kinds no matter the lot size, a chicken in this case is no different, a pet of a different kind that actually provides food for a family. If there are issues with how the chicken is cared for, deal with it in the same manner we’d deal with it for a dog or cat. Living life to the fullest, teaching sustainable living and providing responsibility to children shouldn’t be mired in by-law hoops to jump through. Good luck Riley and Tanya.

This is such a silly rule .... I'd rather see kids doing something productive ... fun...learning then out on the streets getting into trouble because they are bored

As long as someone is not within town limits they should have the right to carry on with their chickens

I think the town needs to back off of people trying to live or make a living, this place is our home not some rich and playground.

Let the little guy do his thing. He is not harming anyone. He is learning to take care of animals. He is keeping busy. Don't take this away. His hope for anything in the future will be lost and his goal in life will diminish with a (why try ) attitude. Leave kids who have a goal alone. Go pick on the unloved useless ones.

They are actually renting chickens in places in the U.S., including the pens, etc. Good life lessons for kids. Let this kid have his chickens!

The birds aren't hurting anyone. There are bigger problems in town then people having chickens. Its muskoka for christ sakes.
