5 chickens per acre is ridiculous. This is a boy and his chickens. There is literally no reason they can’t be in town. Hens only make noise sometimes during the day when they lay an egg.. THATS IT!!!! Give your heads a shake what nonsense. Leave this family alone!

How many chickens are we talking about? Does anyone know how many chicken Riley has? The Toronto bylaw pilot project several people have referenced limits the number of hens to 4. I can understand if it’s more than 4 hens, you’d want more space between neighbours. I support changing the bylaw for rural residential properties, but I would not want a farm set up next door in town with such small lots.

We need to allow rural residents, especially this young man, to have chickens, no matter what size their property is. It only makes sense.
