Recently there has been a lot of shooting and suicides, personally for me someone in my family who had a history of depression was able to purchase a gun and unfortunately successfully end his life. I know that he would have found another way but if bass pro shops had run a background check on him instead of letting him buy the rifle maybe it would have slowed him down and given us more time to convince him to live and that he was loved. It's not just bass pro shops it's gun stores in general. Rifles are one of the few guns that you don't need to do a background check and I think that should change. I believe that backround checks need to be done on the purchaser of ANY gun. Please sign this petition, let's try to change the world.
