I have a friend who was pregnant when her fiancé passed away suddenly. Not only did she have to face the future without her soulmate and father of her baby by to add insult to injury she was not able to put his name on the birth certificate. Disgusting and heartbreaking. Things NEED to change

My husbands god-daughter lost her partner suddenly just before their baby was born and just weeks before they were due to be married. Not being able to give her son his fathers name is an awful injustice to an already heartbreaking situation. Please change the law.

My sisters partner died before their little boy was born so now he has got a double barelled name because she can't afford to have a DNA test done for him! It's disgusting!

If a mother dies at time of giving birth there name still goes on the birth certificate the father should have the same rights

please change the law so no one else has to suffer , we lost our son 2 years ago now and his fiancé was pregnant when he died ,and his name was not on the birth certificate it's disgusting having to prove he was the dad when he is his daddy's double ,let's change this law now before more people suffer the way we have .

My partner died when I was 14 weeks pregnant and had exactly the same problem! it's a bad enough experience loosing your partner but to have this on top was horrendous!! My son has a double barrelled surname because I unfortunately can't afford the fee's to have a dna test!!

This is rediculous ruling, both for the child and his deceased father and needs to be amended immediately.

This is clearly not acceptable. £700 plus court fees
