Holistic, person-centered care includes more than pills. We must allow access to supporting mental health and wellness through meditation, mindfulness, massage, acupuncture, nutrition counseling, access to healthy food and more. Physical health and mental health are connected and people should have the ability to access the tools they need to live a healthy, happy life.

I know mental health is declining to help those who is suffering. I would like to see more help. In Arizona, and was part of the mental health agency there was no hope or they weren't eager to help. Keep messing up Dr and therapy appointments. I would like to see improvement in the mental health. system.

I want people to bring so much awareness to this cause. Mental health is a battle not yet fought and we WILL get a victory for our brothers and sisters who are getting bullied for something they have NO control over!

I advocate because mental illness continues to play a role in my personal and professional life and saying nothing does nothing but continue the shame, misconception, and hurt. Im in recovery but a 20 year battle with ED and MI has left mental scars but from those struggles i am finding my strength slowly. I will not give up.

As a nation that is supposed to have mental health parity, individuals with insurance should not be going into debt for hospital stays due to mental health emergencies such as suicide attempts. Difficulties in receiving treatment and in affording treatment only increase the prevelance of mental illness, suicide, familial struggles, and costly problems such as incarceration.

Thank you for creating a dialogue that is practical, common sense and provides focus to one of the greatest public health issues of our time. I hope this dialogue continues in our country affirming early detection and prevention is the only way to go. While we must continue to support, provide dignified, best practice care for those in crisis, B4stage4 could prevent the crisis.

It is critical that mental illness is addressed early as possible to avoid unnecessary incarcerations, and to enhance quality of life for the person with the illness, and the family who is dealing with the situation.

There needs to be more help and resources available for those suffering & living with mental illnesses! This includes health care!! It should not take over 10 years for a person to get proper help.

People suffering from mental health are not monsters, weak, or unable to be of valuable asset to society. I suffer from Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am tired of mental health issues being used as a scapegoat to explain the issues of gun violence in this country and many other social issues we are currently facing. We suffer in silence because we are afraid of being written off as crazy or sick. I work for a major broadcasting network and have a great position, family support system, etc...and thankfully I am able to afford the help I am receiving but those that don't have the means should have access to help and not be treated like criminals or crazy people for seeking it. Many of the mental health facilities I have seen are grossly underfunded, dirty, with staff that is not adequately trained. This should not be the case. Mental Health issues affect millions in this country alone, it's about time the government and the medical community do more to help those in need of help.

Please, help those who suffer from mental illness. There needs to be more psych units as well as community support centers. Treatment should be a right and should not be a fight to get the help one needs.

Experience has taught me that mental illness NEEDS to be a priority within the field of healthcare. Just because these conditions are "invisible", doesn't mean they should be ignored and left untreated until it's too late. Early intervention and affordable treatment measures could save the lives of millions, including kids and teenagers. Speak out!

I'm going to be having a speech about Mental Health Stigma. I was hoping to bring a paper for my classmates to sign if they wanted to be a part of this petition. Is their anyway I can get their names and email only or do I need to ask for their address as well?
