It really is time this road had an upgrade, the longer it’s left the more expensive it will get. The south hams is a wonderful place to visit much advertised with no thought to local farmers or businesses trying to go about there daily lives on unsuitable low grade roads this one in particular. Yes tractors are getting bigger so are cars, caravans, motor homes, and boat trailers which are the general problems in the pinch points.

Probably taken more tonnage of farm crops along this road than most in my 28 yrs of lorry driving!Can be a nightmare at times!Why they ever stopped artics running through Lodiswell beggars belief!I could leave Rake fm at 7am & be at A38 Wrangaton,max of 20mins,the route they now have to go via Totnes-Buckfastleigh takes min 50minutes on a good run! Have always said with improvement the Wrangaton to Kingsbridge rd should be the main route to the South Hams, a no brainer as they say!!

I travel this road often. It has always been badly maintained. The congestion is unbearable at times. So many people rely on this road for commuting down into the South Hams. It's about time it was upgraded.

Live at California cross and have to travel daily on this road .. it’s terrible , pot holes , pinch points absolutely hell from may onwards due to people not knowing the road and blocking the road , being impatient.. and use by Lorrie’s etc it need to be sorted

We haul a lot of sheep on this road over winter and even without all of the holiday makers it’s hard work to get around
