Vital road which is unusable during the summer with more vehicles and caravan on the road

Road is and always has been a nightmare. Not fit for 21st century driving. Unfortunately those of us who live at Loddiswell or Woodleigh have little option but to use it.
Please consider some urgent action to improve matters.

The congestion caused by this absurdity represents a real cost to the local economy and on occasion a waste of police time when they are called out to unblock extreme jams. The saga has been going on for over 40 years with DCC adopting a dog in a manger attitude. At one time landowners on both sides offered to donate land to allow widening but apparently DCC's legal costs were unaffordable. Anyone know a good silicitor who is willing to donate their time for free?

Needs to happen to aid the safety of the road and its users. Especially with how busy the roads get with holiday makers and rural traffic causes long delays and frustration among road users. And with the ever increasing amount of homes being built the roads are getting busier and struggle to cope with increased traffic levels

There is more traffic on the road with vehicles getting bigger passing places are not good enough we need the road widen

Having driven this road, the B3196, for many years all I can say it has got worse. The amount of traffic that uses it has probably tripled over the last 40 years. Vehicles are getting bigger and safer and there is a desperate need for road widening in many places. It’s about time that DCC put their hand in their pockets and do what is needed!!

Yes I commute to work to Plymouth ok in the mornings at 6.30 when no traffic but in holiday season completely avoid it. On the return journey I coming off the A38 at Ivybridge via Modbury to get back to Loddiswell .

This road needs serious improvement. A 20 minute journey took 50 minutes last week and we are not even in the full height of summer traffic.
