We, the members (past and present) of AYSO Region 515, hereby request that the current Regional Commissioner (RC), Pauline Hernandez, either resign or be removed from her position. We truly wish for the region to grow and blossom to represent the national organization in a way that embodies the principals upon which it was founded. Sadly, we have found that in the past few years, the mission, vision and philosophies of the organization have been lost, that is to say grossly misunderstood and flat out disregarded.

Our goal is to see the purpose of this organization returned. We truly wish to see the children as the center of our program, the families as our focus and the support of and for our community our desire. Our hope is to select leadership that will remember why this organization was started.

From the national organization:

Our vision: To develop world class soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

Our mission: To develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs, which promote a fun, family environment based on our six AYSO philosophies: Open Registration, Balanced Teams, Everyone Plays, Good Sportsmanship, Positive Coaching, Player Development.

This request is given in order to give the region back to its members who feel as though the region has been run in such a way that it is a detriment to the children, families, and communities that support it. We, the members of AYSO Region 515 want to see the program given back to its members.

As members we feel it is our duty to make our voice heard and want know that we have an option to speak up for the programs and the children currently enrolled in programs within AYSO region 515. We do not support, nor do we condone the methods which the current RC is using to run programs within the region. In fact, as the members of the region we feel as though these methods are damaging to the children, families, and the communities that the region currently supports.

The current regional administration’s practices have caused huge amounts of unrest, discomfort, and many unhappy members resulting in a 12% loss of membership in the last year (from membership year 2012-2013 to membership year 2013-2014). We feel that as long as the current RC remains the membership will continue to decline. This leadership has also resulted in the loss of key board members as well as multiple volunteers and is sure to lead to more.
