Because you cannot cheer for the children anymore without being harassed.

Thank you for your opinion but I disagree and still stand behind the region and is volunteers. My children, along with countless others, are benefiting from the time and dedication of the volunteers of AYSO 515. Because of the negativity and controversy surrounding this petition it is actually hurting the kids! Turn this around and be part of a solution, figure out a way to help!

I am still proud to be part of AYSO 515 and will continue supporting the organization and it's volunteers! This does NOT represent all families in this organization!

This needs to be all about the kids again!

This needs to be about the kids again. About having fun and improving their skills. I saddens me to say, unless there is a big change, my family will not be returning next season.

I am very disappointed, but not in the region or leadership, but with people that are not offering their time, effort and dedication to the kids, yet criticize its leadership. I know there are a few very disgruntled volunteers that have instigated a lot of negative discussion with families that are not as close to the matter or actual issues as they are and that is wrong. I have been involved in coaching AYSO for more than 11 years at every age group (5-19)level of play, and am proud of what this region has accomplished. I have coached core, select, tournament and now National teams in regions in California and now 515. If there are specific issues that need attention, bring it forth, volunteer to help, or ask someone but please don't get caught up in others' vendetta or mission to discredit until you volunteer to help. This will only hurt the kids. Please fell free to ask me or discuss specific issues openly. After all these years volunteering, I still can't wait to get on the pitch for these kids every Saturday and see them have a blast...at 515. Coach J U19 "VOLUNTEER" coach National Team

My family is proud to be part of AYSO 515! My family will stand behind the organization and the volunteers that make a positive impact on our kids! While some of these comments are negative I will look at the silver lining... We will have a great list of volunteers! After all, your mission is to better the organization for our kids right?

Exactly Jennifer! Everyone that is fired up should be a part and volunteer! Please do. Your passion for the kids is what we need . Better to be fired up than passive and just letting things pass by. If you are not sure, volunteer! There is no obligation to the organization, only to the kids!!!

Jay and Jennifer, thank you for being volunteers and standing by 515.  If you read clearly before you comment, you will see this is for the children, the unheard and disregarded valuable volunteers.  There are many volunteers and parents in the region that I know and are not heard.  They put their hours in and have for many years for their youth, they as well participate in these AYSO nationally sanctioned programs that are not something the administration is responsible for but were introduced all across the country.  These volunteers are disregarded, you ask questions about financial monies for national games? Silence. Truly ask for a breakdown of your fundraising efforts for your team.  See what you get.  You will probably be pushed out because you ask to many questions.  This administration only hears what they want to hear for their own personal recognition. I've heard the frustrations.  Some families would rather leave then be mistreated. It's not fair. The volunteers are what make the region a success for the youth, the children are why they do it. This environment is forgetting all the teams, not just the specially formed teams.  Everything needs to be transparent.  You have questions of the administration, as a volunteer organization this information needs to be public. Not a secret. Every child is special, not one above another.

I absolutely agree with this petition. It is a shame what AYSO Region has become under this leadership. Thank you.

It's sad that there is only a very small group of volunteers for community events and local sports for the kids. I see the same people volunteering their time year after year only to get criticized for their efforts. How can people be so inconsiderate (and often times rude) when it comes to what they "would like to see done" when only a very small group is working desperately to get things done in the best way they can? Quit complaining and step up to volunteer! Instead of talking badly about the program, get involved to make them better! The other half complain because they don’t get their way! Everyone on the past and current Board had the opportunity to apply for the position of Regional Commissioner. But of course, no one came forward. I have yet to see one single critic working hard to make this program “Better”. We all have a right to complain. That's freedom of speech. But we also have a right to volunteer and put our time and energy where our mouths are. Face the issues, and stop hiding. ayso515.com see April calendar for next board meeting. I was an AYSO volunteer as both a referee and a coach for about five years in Region 515. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had, but also one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at times. I’ve been involved in the game as a player, fan or volunteer for more than 25 years and I firmly believe that AYSO is one of the absolute best soccer organizations in the world. The ideas and principles created by Mr. Stierle in 1964, which would evolve to the six philosophies of AYSO, were brilliant. These philosophies are being copied by youth soccer organizations all over the world to include those run by the FA and FIFA. Unfortunately, the break from these philosophies in Region 515 was the reason I left. I know others who felt the same and left as well. I know that some of the pressure to focus on the competitive teams probably comes from Area 12C, but it is unfortunate that the recreational program should suffer. Having the benefit of viewing the situation at a distance I would submit that possibly the reason there is a very small group of volunteers is that people outside of that group have either been driven away or are afraid to join.

I have had my child in AYSO for the last 2 years and I can tell the moral has really gone down. Not only that becaue the loss of kids this year teams sometime do not have enough players. I feel like we can't go out and enjoy ourselves and root for our children because they have take the fun out of it. This need to be for the kids, to teach them sportmanship, team building, leadership and to enjoy the game. How can we will it feels like all the good coaches and volunteers are being pushed out. Please for the kids give ud back THE OLD Region 515

The kids need to be our focus in AYSO. I'm sad to say that this focus has been lost. I have seen the loss of kids and coaches due to the mismanagement of the current administration. Unless things change, my older children will not be returning and my younger ones will not be joining.

I believe there would be more volunteers if they was a different director. It is evident through what is happening at the girls that the program in Los Lunas is really getting bad. Ï really is time for a change in direction.
