I am honestly stunned to share that Avram Grant will receive the Freedom of the City. This result belongs entirely to the fans who stayed by his side and kept the faith when things were at their lowest. I am just so grateful that Portsmouth recognized what we all knew …

I checked the total this morning and saw 250 signatures which is a number I never thought we would reach. This is happening because of your passion for the club and not anything I did.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you feel the same way about Avram. This kind of momentum is entirely down to your passion for what he did for our club.

About time he got some real credit for what he did at Pompey. True gentleman.
Would be a class move by the city.
PUP! He stuck by us when things were falling apart. Nobody else would have done that.
Absolute legend. Took us to Wembley against all the odds when everyone wrote us off. Give the man his due.
The man managed under impossible conditions and kept his head held high. He deserves this honour more than anyone else in football right now.

AVRAM GRANT IS A BLUE! Forget Harry and his excuses. Avram actually cared about the club.
