Moving the race defeats the purpose of the "Avondale" 5k. The current location is great and I love seeing people from the neighborhoods support the local runners!

I live on Magnolia Rd. and I am directly affected by the road closures for this race, but I do not want to see the race relocated. There are very few outdoor community events in the Avondale West Ashley area. Please don't take this race away from our neighborhood.

I live in Byrnes Downs and love my community because of all the involvement with neighbors and businesses alike. I find crossing Highway 17 in Avondale way more dangerous for pedestrians than a race that is monitored by volunteers and police. We need to keep our neighbor active and fun. Please do not take away a race that supports our community in so many ways.
