I filed a complaint due to my last avista bill had an increase of over $100 and I did not use more than normal. No response yet. Then I saw how many others had jacked up bills. Something is going on and these rate hikes are ridiculous.

Avista is being totally out rageious. Last year at this time there were 4 people living here (4 showers a day, dishwasher everday, 2-3 loads of laundry a day, 2 or 3 tvs running, cooking meals 2 or 3 times a day, thermostat at 70, puchased a new washer/dryer & fridge all energy efficient ), now only me,(couple loads of laundry a week, dishwasher 2 or 3 times a week, cooking meals 3 to 4 times a week thermostat set at about 65, don't use a lot of lights at night) yet my bill is as high as it was last year. Do not understand at all. A couple of weeks ago a man came to my door and said that they had to replace my electricity meter because it wasn't working right. So they did. Now on my bill I noticed they estimated my charges for part of last month. Maybe it was working right they just didn't like the reading.

I had no way to prove my bill was wrong even though it jumped 100$ in a month I used a laundry mat instead of my house laundry and tries to be efficient with our electricity so I know we used less power but because we had no way to prove they were wrong we still get stick paying it

They tripled my bill and I used LEAST power but bc they already investigated my meter last summer due to another outrageous bill, I have to pay $50 to investigate it again. I can't pay it because my bill is nearly $400. Up from the normal. $135!!

My bill went from $48 to $230 in January and February bill I got yesterday was $280. It's just me that lives here. Last year I had 3 people living here and my bill was cheaper. This is not right. I called avista and they told me since all my appliances are new to clean the back of my fridge. Are you serious. Wow if running my fridge is costing that much. Good thing I'm not using heat in the 2 bedrooms I was last year. Or I would be paying a $1000 a mo. Ridiculous

Avista, we need you to consider revising the rate increase for both electricity and gas. Oil/gas is at a record low price, I don't see the reason to increase the price of gas. It's just greed.

Avista is over charging people because they can and there is nothing we can do to stop it. It's bull and they know it. No one should have to endure there for of abuse.

There is no way we should owe 520 dollars. The excuses you are giving people is crap. Maybe we should estimate what we can afford and just pay that. Someone needs to do an investigation why does the ceo get such a big bonus

They tripled my bill! Now I owe $701.60. Its NEVER been that high! I've gone six months without paying and its never been that high.

I can't afford another $200 power bill on a redo impulse small apartment that I'm barely home in and have at a freezing temperature anyways. It makes no sense that I am paying this much to be this cold all the time.
