I burn wood from at least 5 AM until 7 or 8 PM daily. If it weren't for my fireplace during the power outage we would have frozen. It's bad enough I'm STILL struggling to replace 100's of dollars in lost food, but to get a bill from Avista that is sky high AFTER 5 days of NO POWER. Unbelievable!!

I am appalled at how my power bill increased by over 40% in just one month... I live in a small 1-bedroom apartment and my power bill went from 85 to 138 in just 1 month... I never turn my thermostat past 70 and very rarely turn my lights on...

They are absolutely providing wrong info in their meter reads. The average electricity consumption in washington state is 1200 kwh, but they are saying I am using 4500+ kwh in a month. I use sunlight all day and barely any lights at night how am I using 400% above average.

I really think we should start charging Avista a couple million a week for using our Spokane river for free.. for using the land our forefathers gave so we could have affordable power... some one needs to address the fact that they are not doing what they said they would do almost a hundred years ago.. keeping our power affordable for all.

This has to stop. I'm the only one working in my household. My husband was laid off. There is no way. I van afford to pay more than double what we have been paying. Thank you for creating this petition.

$100 increase out of the blue. Weird considering I had no power for 2 weeks after storm and have burned more wood this winter than last.
