I can't believe how bad AVISTA has screwed me over....I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and I have only lived here since October. My last bill from avista was 90.00....my bill has tripled to a whopping 300.00....mind u 5 days out of the week I am at work and I make sure everything is turned off or turned down. Getting a heating Bill that is 200.00 short of being basically my rent I am just floored....avista was so "kind" to come back to "re-read" my meter for free but if they need to read it again they would "kindly" charge me 50.00!!! Are f-ing kidding me! I am soooo pissed at avista...they need to fix mine along with everyone else's bill! Quit ripping us off avista!

No person needs s salary of that size, the recent amount of power outages prove that avista still has a ways to come in many ways.

Insurance should have paid for windstorm damages to avista. To make to customers pay these exorbitant bills with no nottice or warning is horible and unfair to the customers. Avista bread and butter.

My thermostat is at 64 and the bedroom doors upstairs are closed. Those rooms have wall heaters, my bill was $179. Why?

When my power bill doubles when we slowed down and unplugged everything that wasn't a necessity... You can't tell me it went up because I was just using more power. :(

I live in a small house and have actually turned down my heat this year being more conscious of my useage. Nothing else has changed except my bill is higher than it's ever been.

I agree so many people have there bills so high it's ridiculous mine was and I didn't lose power but now we have to call and complain they need to check on everyone's bills for the last few months see how there screwing us

Our bill is twice as much as usual. I called to dispute it and she said it's higher because of the cold weather. But the weather was also cold when our bill was much cheaper. If there was another power company that I was able to switch to I would! It's absolutely rediculous!

Avista needs to credit everyone's bill for the outrageous charges they are getting away with.

I have for a long time felt perplexed as to how it was legal for Avista to implant and force their business on the lives of our lives! What if the meter is wrong?! What if they are rigged? Do meters need to be adjusted? I have never seen or heard of the meters being "maintained". I once had paid my bill and the next day they shut it off and tried to de-escalate my by saying they wouldn't charge a deposit fee.

i think its totally unfair if they either misread it or dont charge you for electricity to begin with thats what i was told when i called that there didnt read it in December correctly why are we being punished for something their people didnt do
