Members of our family were without power for a week in November yet none of our bills were any less than usual. One member had his power off for a month and still no change. Calls to Avista were met with, "What do you think we can do?"

i ve been over charged also and cannot get a sraight answer or help from any one working there! increases they ask for are to maintain polls ect, where is money really going, the wind storm showed how polls are "maintained"

Avista is a monopoly they can charge you what ever they want, and what can we do? Nothing. The only chose we have is to move, or go with out power. FUCK AVISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am one of these families that is struggling to pay my latest power Bill. I haven't worked in almost 8 or 9 months an I support my four year old son all by myself. With no help from his father, or family. I literally hav zero dollars in income monthly. Plz fix these immoral issues!

It's disgustingly obvious that they know how much power they have when their customer service joyfully laughs in your face when you tell them you think there must be a mistake in the bill.

I live alone, keep my heat low, and I'm pretty concervative just to try to keep my bill low.... and my bill has doubled also. Makes no sence. I seem to be working OT just to pay my Avista bill.

At the end of December I owed Avista $499.00. Avista was paid in a little over full amount of $502.00. Get mew bill and it is already back up to $168. and something. I don't have no washer or dryer and have not been using my dishwasher for a year and a half. Only have used one small electric baseboard heater and have it on comfort level. Have no clue where Avista thinks all of my power usage is coming from to run me $168. a month. It's just ridiculous!!

My bill went from $70 a month to almost $200 a month. I work almost 50 hours a week, never run my heat & am rarely home to use my power. How the hell is that ok?!

wish I could sign more than once, Avista is a joke. I also understand many crews worked late into many nights, but maybe they should take some of the CEO's pay and pay them or with some of the grant money they got from the state when it was deemed and natural disaster!!!

My bill has been around $300 a month for the past 3 months then In January we got a bill for $1055 and were told it was high because our meters been broke for 3 months and apparently its our fault

My bill doubled this last month. I try and save needed resources like SNAP for people that I know need it more than myself. Now, I'm in need. I can't afford the habitual increases. Even burning wood doesn't make a dent in my usage.

Our bill nearly doubled for DEC claiming we used more energy. I know DEC was cold but we keep the heat on low and I cant see how on Earth we would have used that much energy. More than ever before in our history if usage...of course I have no way to prove this so.. What do you do?
