The process for a small business with an outstanding PPP loan to sell all or part of their business needs to be streamlined. Many of them need outside investment or simply cannot continue and need to sell. to new ownership with the necessary resources to rebuild the business.

Over 85% of the PPP loans were $150,000 or less while this represented only about 25% of the total dollars lent. This addition to the Forgiveness Act would enable the smallest businesses (and majority of the borrowers) to focus on keeping their doors open and not take time away from their businesses to chase forgiveness documentation. The larger businesses can flip this task to their CFO or CPA. Further, the nation’s banks did an outstanding job getting PPP money on the streets by redeploying all available resources to PPP originations. This change would also provide tremendous relief to the banking system. #smallbusiness #supportsmallbusinesses

You bailed out the banks and none of that money directly helped the American people when they needed it most. It’s now time to bail out the small to medium business owners who are the backbone of the American people!

We must allow business to stay afloat or be sold, this pandemic is destroying too many livelihoods and putting people in danger of going bankrupt.

As a Business Intermediary, I see first hand the financial impact on small business owners each day. This proposal would ease the financial burden and reduce the administrative pain during these trying times.

I assisted over 30 small business owners to receive PPP funds. I don't know of any who didn't divert the money directly to payroll to help their employees. Expediting the forgiveness process will assist everyone involved with small business focus on recovery and not focused on what ultimately will be unnecessary paperwork.

I strongly support this. Many small business with low amounts are forced to sell as they cannot afford to stay open. This penalizes them and hurts the economy.
This is important.
