My 3 1/2 year old grandson is autistic and non verbal and has limited services, is not in pre-school because he only had worker for 3-4 days and then she went off on maternity.

More services required.

Why do we need to fight for services for our children when MP's get everything they want? Our children are slipping through all government cracks, but their children (MP's) don't. Our children go without needed services, their children don't. We shouldn't have to beg and plead for help as tax payers that contribute to their outrageously high salaries.

Residential homes should be considered for rural areas also. It isn't always possible for working parents to venture to major cities to visit their family members.

I have four children with autism, and they will be adults soon. One will require services for extended period of his life.

The tsunami of youth diagnosed with autism is coming and our governments have to get prepared for their needs. Parents won't live forever.

Access to funded mental health services and the establishment of a residential facility in our own province is essential. I will gladly pay more taxes to ensure these services come to fruition.
