The Australian government is looking to pass a law of religious freedom that would allow school to reject LGBT students and teachers based on religious beliefs alone. They're marketing this as religious freedom but how is rejecting qualified, good people for an illegitimate reason freedom? People have a right to be themselves and to figure themselves out without having the constant threat and fear of their identity having major consequences. This law is despicable, the more people who are aware of this the better. We shouldn't be discriminated against because of something we can't control.

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam when I first typed it out in a total panic at my desk. Seeing everyone jumping in like this makes me feel way less alone because it is genuinely wild that we even have to argue about this in the first place.

I believe in gay rights! People should be able to marry who ever they want. You shouldn't just reject people just because they like there own gender.
I'm Catholic but I still believe love is love and God wants everyone to be cared and loved no matter what

This is honestly so disgusting. Kids should be able to just go to school without worrying about getting kicked out for being themselves. Leave them alone!
