This is a pressing issue for the commonwealth. If that name for our nation is to mean anything , then this largest instance of intergenerational theft must be discussed.

I thoroughly agree with the sentiment of this petition. The unmanaged conflicts of interest regarding MPs and their personal assets and financial situation versus the debates and reform required for the good of the population is an absolute disgrace. Far too many polititians will not enter into debate or consider reform because of the affect it would have on their personal financial situation regardless of how beneficial it would be for the citizens they are supposed to represent.

A great petition. Politicians should not be allowed to avoid discussing negative gearing and the first step is for the Senate to declare their invested interests negatively feared assets.
