No more property tax increases in Austin! We simply cannot afford it.

my property taxes have doubled in the last 5 years. It’s ridiculous!!!!!

Lora Livingston is the district judge who appoints the Chair of the Travis County Appraisal District. TCAD is who decides our property values, of which our taxes are based. 261st district. She retires Dec 31 2022 but REMEMBER 261 next time you vote!

Property taxes are too high, people are loosing their homes! We are taxed when we make money, taxed when we use the money, taxed to use the item that we bought with our already taxed money! Its ridiculous!

We need to Lower Property Taxes in Austin.

We are already paying too much for property taxes in Austin. Please do not keep raising the taxes. This will run a lot of people out of Austin if this continues.

Taxes are exorbitant! Police services have been cut in an unsafe city. Cut my services, cut my taxes!

Austin has allowed investors from monied firms, Blackrock sound familiar?, to develop so as to drive up prices. The latest stab in the back for residents is the approval to build apt complexes in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Instead of developing Austin with an eye on the residents the last 8 years have been about elected City officials growing personal wealth. The inflated prices huge investment firms have paid has been part of the inflated property taxes. Taxing a homestead should be illegal. This must apply to the property renters call home also. We could help make living in Austin more affordable by doing away with unfair property taxes.

I was born and raised in Austin and now it doesn’t resemble anything that I want to! You’re killing my city.

City government is experiencing "scope spread." I agree with John Doty. I would love for my taxes/fees to be spent on us having the very best city services rather than trying to solve problems that really cannot be solved by government. I also firmly believe we need an independent assessment of how well all departments are delivering on their promises. This isn't just an accounting audit, but a program audit. Most of us just want to know that the money we put in is actually being wisely used, year in and year out. Trust has eroded and needs to be restored. No more taxes.

I retired and moved here to be near my children and grandchildren. I really don't want to have to move, but your property taxes, the high utilities, all of the prices here are killing me.

With all the signs of rising inflationary prices it is not the time to raise taxes or cost of living prices.

City government cannot be all things to all people. Concentrate on city services, gas, water, electricity, roads, healthcare, police, fire, ems, parks, and maintenance on those services. Spend no tax money on anything else.

Thanks for leading this initiative. This is ridiculous. People will have to move against their will.

Please just stop. Austin will be unaffordable.

Up the police allowance and hold the line on everything else.
