THE LEGISLATURE OFFICIALLY VOTED TO BRING IN THE STATE AUDITOR!! I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED THAT OUR DEMAND FOR TRANSPARENCY WON THE DAY. WE HAVE TO KEEP WATCHING TO MAKE SURE EVERY STEP OF THIS PROCESS REMAINS COMPLETELY HONEST.

Really did the elderly and others on a fixed income a terrible disservice, from start to finish.

Plus, those who paid an appraiser for a property appraisal, should be able to deduct it from their property taxes if the assessments are readjusted.

We all know that this market is artificially inflated. This is only adding to the crippling increases in costs. Please don't contribute to this spiral. If anyone can remember 2008, then you know how this ends. With people losing their homes!

Given the hardship that this has placed on their constituents that voted for them, both the stress of outrageous tax increases that may force them out of their homes, and the hoops they've been forced to jump through to fight it and the treatment they've received while doing it, I would certainly hope that the Jackson County Legislature wouldn't have to think twice about doing this and it would be a unanimous vote. If it's not unanimous, there's your sign Jackson County voters.

The taxes for my almost 50 year old house in Glendale Gardens went from approx $2000 to over $3000! An increase of 50% that I can't afford!

This is crazy BS.... SMH...... how can you tax every 2 yrs without seeing homes? Sad..... We better get more homeless camps ready... We are moving /building out of the state and bought 50 Acres near a Lake and taxes are affordable there.
