Wearing a mask should be a personal choice. I am not scared of COVID at all. I’ve gotten it twice and my symptoms weren’t even half as bad as the flu. If someone is scared of COVID, they can wear a mask. Those of us who have gone the whole summer without touching a mask should be allowed to continue to do so. I think it was very wrong of Anderson university to tell their students at the beginning of the summer that masks would not be required, and to then go back on their word the day before students returned to campus. I believe that the university did this so that people who value freedom of choice would enroll (and pay) for the following year, but then Anderson went back on their word right before the semester started, and after everyone had payed. I do not think that this decision is right, that is why I am signing this petition.

Please rethink mandating masks again! Making them optional for those who prefer to wear them thinking that they help is a much better option! Masks, distancing and isolation have been detrimental to the well being of our society and our Governor himself sees that! So I ask you to not mask our children!!

As a Christian University this is completely unacceptable when the State that you reside and operate in has already refused to enforce mandates! Use the Governors orders for your protection against the Federal Dictators if that’s what your so afraid of!

Please allow students to chose mask or no mask. It should not be mandated. It takes aware our free will that God gave us. The last thing we need to do as Christians is to live in fear.

Forcing people to wear masks is wrong. It should be each persons choice- not a requirement. If masks work, then all those who are worried about covid can wear them and should be fine if they have that much faith in masks. If they don’t work, then there’s no point in even wearing them. So either way, give people the choice.

If I have gotten the vaccine like medical professionals have recommended, I should not have to wear a mask which is less effective at reducing the spread of COVID 19.
