Ridiculous to pour that kind of money into a stadium. Pour it into education.

Athens Resident; This is not what I envisioned when I voted for the bond. This needs to be reconsidered with alternative plans discussed.

I believe this is NOT for the best interest for the school nor the students, other things are much important than have a new box.

Athens ISD Resident!! Please consider using these funds to better the lives of our kids. There are so many needs that should be met first. Please do what is right and use the funds to better our community. This press box is NOT NECESSARY OR NEEDED!

My comment should read, I DO believe a 4 million dollar press box is beyond extravagant and sends the wrong message about our districts priorities.

Proud but disappointed Athens ISD resident. I would like to know 1) who initiated this high dollar facility; 2) why do we need such a large facility; 3) what does the pricetag include and how did you arrive upon it; 4) if you have 4M in disposable monies why use it on something that may be used at most 25 times a year. Maybe we need to look more closely at the way other money is being spent. The 59.9 M was basically railroaded in and I was shamed for asking questions. Never again! Additionally the proposed tax increase was less than what we wound up with. Shame on you-our small 3A community should never have agreed to such a large amount.
