I use the park everyday to walk my dogs if i had to pay everyday it wld be too expensive!

We often use the park to walk our dogs but have to drive there. We pay central beds council tax and this is one of the local amenities available to us. We should not be expected to pay again. If this goes ahead, sadly we will choose other walking areas. We often stop for hot chocolate at the hub so it will lead to fewer clients.

This is a public area used by many on a daily basis, and to charge for this and its beautiful views will deprive many people of that possibility. Not everything should be a money source for the council.

Only acceptable implementation of fees is if people who ALREADY pay toward the park via council tax are given stickers to exempt them from fees.

Look what happened when the new car park past the church charged for parking -(which is now closed) no one used it but just clogged up roads and Waitrose car park. Bad idea if you want to attract people to the area. It is an amenity to be shared and locals shouldnt be penalised for enjoying it.

Please don’t. I drive here to take my fog for a walk and collect the children from school. It’s safer than parking elsewhere

Charging for parking would deny many people the opportunity to enjoy the park, and many of us go there on a daily basis to walk our dogs, to pay every day would be prohibitive.

I’ve been walking a dog in Ampthill park for 35 years twice a day and it is only since lockdown has it been difficult to park the car due to people coming from far a field. It would be a shame if it became too expensive to park for local people

The park has always been a common treasury for all and should not have parking charges added to it! Ampthill just needs another car park! Not our beautiful park!

I think its a great idea!! Residents parking badges (As we pay for it in our council tax!!) and all of the non Ampthill residents that use our fantastic park for currently for free (they don't pay a dime!!) pay for parking and contribute towards the cost for the works that are required each year due to the wear and tear.
