A facility of recreation should be encouraged
By putting a charge on parking will restrict this and possibly move people elsewhere or not take part in exercise at all

Do not let the people who cannot afford parking charges suffer, especially as they are less likely to have their own outside space!

I dont agree with parking charges. I go here at least 5 times a week. Make the carpark bigger and maybe a donation box ??

I have lived my whole life here and this park has been an invaluable asset to the community. Please keep it accessible to ALL in the community. When I was a new mum on statutory maternity leave I could barely afford the essentials; but I could afford to regularly escape with my little girl to the park for free. It was much needed and the fact that I didn't have to think twice about being able to go and stay as long as needed was needed more than anyone could know. Please keep it community-centric. I'm sure if donations are needed for the upkeep of the car park then those that are able to donate will happily do so - but please don't exclude regular visitors and those that can't.

It is a terrible idea. People are struggling financially and mentally. Charging to park may prevent them being able to use the park. I have not been back to the Forest Centre since they began charging to park.

Will disadvantage those that use the park regularly but live too far away to walk there.
Will result in an increase in people parking in the town centre and a rise in congestion and air pollution.

Ampthill & surrounding village residents should, at the very least, be exempt from these charges if they are implemented. Ampthill Town Council should consider other ways to raise the money they need.
