When our children were younger it was too far to walk from home (in Ampthill) to the park. I have an elderly dog and its too far to walk from home to the park for her. Please don't deprive local people from using our lovely park and having to pay.

Surely the % of council tax residents of Ampthill already pay should cover the costs of the park?

I know CBC need to claw back money in these hard times but this is penny pinching, the difficulties to the cricket and football club alone will be inconvenient at best why not extend the car parks to attract more visitors and build another Hub and create an income from that

Awful idea. In a year on massive unemployment and rise in need of food banks it seems in bad taste to tax people for wanting to enjoy the park and need to arrive by car. It will ostracise many vulnerable groups of people from being able to use the park. Extremely short sighted.

How ridiculous. Parking has become impossible now to go shopping as limited parking or time allowed. Now the park ! Is the idea to shut Ampthill down in the long term?

707 men who trained and last views of England were from this park. they died to save our country and now our council want to charge to use the carpark. What next - entrance fee to walk on OUR land.
