Ridiculous idea. I use this park daily to walk 4 dogs as there is nowhere safe where I live in Ridgmont. Isn’t our poll tax enough for goodness sake?

I agree with all the objections raised against this proposal. Ampthill Park should be free for all. Part of our history.

There is little enough parking in ampthill without charging for these ones, detering yet more potential shoppwrs from the town!

It’s a park for leisure which we do not need to be charged

This is my nearest park and there’s no way I can access it without my car. Even if it ‘only’ cost £1 this would cost me £30 per month as I use it for an hour every day.

I strongly disagree to this, it is a necessity for people’s well-being and mental health to be able to access the park regardless of their ability to pay or not

Parks are for people to share their lives, walking is for wellbeing. We shouldnt be charged for walking in the fresh air.

Such a shame to rush your walk to get back to your car when the weather is warm you like to sit and enjoy the views you could ask for donations in a honesty box so people could give who can afford to would have to be emptied every day because of theft

I use this park on a regular basis as my sister’s ashes are scattered below one of the trees, I like to just feel I can pop up any time to visit.

If you a resident of Ampthill, maybe we can get a residents pass for free.

This will encourage irresponsible parking and discourage visitors who might spend in the town. We need freedom to walk during Covid and businesses need support

Ampthill residents do not own this park or it’s history, they cannot keep visitors out
