Can you please explain what you mean by 4/4? Is that 4 3-credit courses per semester, but now 5 3-credit courses per semester?

This is astonishing and despicable. That department heads and administrators of a major university can bring themselves to commit an action this foolish is truly a wake-up call--and indication that the financial crisis in higher education is so desperate it's become a moral crisis.

ASU should be investing more in its instructors rather than exploiting them by making them teach 25% more for the same (substandard) wages.
