Dishware should also be clean; plates, bowls, and utensils frequently have visible food remnants on them, yet are served as though they are clean.

Healthy food is required to study and makes for healthy and happy students.

Hope the WM administration takes some action reg. the situation. It is unfortunate that the students have to raise this as a petition. As parents, we are really concerned seeing our kids going hungry and losing weight drastically after joining w&m

I’ve been gaslit by dining staff in managerial positions that chicken is “sometimes pink”. It is sometimes pink but you’d have to be an idiot not to know the difference between a normal amount of pinkness and rawness. I am not an idiot.

I know it’s easy to complain about the food at a university, but W&M’s situation is extraordinarily bad.

It is important that our students have healthy and safe food that they enjoy when at school.

It is embarrassing that this food situation has not been addressed already at such an amazing school!

Sodexo has committed many of the same violations at West Virginia University, or WVU, as reported by several news outlets. The WVU administration responded to those issues more quickly and more transparently than the William & Mary administration has responded. Furthermore, unlike William & Mary, WVU did not side with Sodexo when shown photos of raw chicken. They took action. Shame on the William& Mary administration for failing to fully, and transparently, addressing vital health issues such as dining and housing while forcing all first and second year "social" class students to live on campus.

We need better food and assurance against undercooked food.

Our students deserve healthy food that is properly prepared.

The biggest negative I've heard about WM *for years* is the food service. That is a very easy thing to remedy and should not be a negative feature of this fine institution. Look at the meal provider used by Virginia Tech. Students there are very satisfied.

William and Mary can do better than this.

The food quality has been very disappointing. Please do better for your students.

I don't like being forced to pay for a meal plan that is so low quality, not cooked to standards, and in many cases has made students ill. The rest of the W&M experience has been A+++ Please either fix this or give students a way to opt out of meal plans. The fact that I am paying for terrible food so many kids won't (rightly so) eat and you won't release me from that plan -- well, I'm honestly considering that my donation to the school. I have already made a few donations but they are now going to stop.
