Ate at wm cafeteria twice. 1st time rice was undercooked so inner core of rice was still hard. 2nd time meatloaf was so dry and stale it was probably a leftover.

As someone who spent a summer at another university that used Sodexo, this is absolutely an issue with the WM contract. Not only was the school smaller than WM, but the food was 10x better, had rotating and exciting vegetarian meals, a well stocked salad bar, and stations that you could consistently know what you’d be getting. We need to do better

The food is somehow worse than my high school food even though we both use Sodexo - I feel like that’s immature of us and we should move to a better provider. It’s embarrassing to be an A rated school with C rated food and housing. We are a hardworking environment with an intense stress culture and food is a simple thing we can fix to help mental health and overall health of the students.

Considering the price of the meal plan, I would expect the meat to be cooked through.

Agreed, the food at W&M has been undercooked, unsanitary and unsatisfactory for my daughter the last 4 years. She ends up buying food outside of her meal plan very often. It’s very upsetting that such reputable college (with the highest tuition in VA) has the worse school food we have ever seen. Please change and do better. Thank you.

Whenever I go to the dining hall there is a chance I get food poisoning, that's how bad it is. Beyond that, marketplace and marinara are overpriced (e.g. if I want a soup and a sandwich or multiple things on my pasta, it will cost multiple meal swipes). In Sadler and caf, I don't think I've been there once where there wasn't a frozen fry, undercooked meat, etc. I am for terminating our relationship with Sodexo. I transferred in and my last school also had a contract with Sodexo and it was even worse than here. The chicken looked like sh*t (in a literal sense, not a describing sense) and during COVID, they would give us to-go meals and Sodexo considered two slices of bread, butter, and raw onions a full meal.
