These funds are needed to run public libraries. A big percentage of the people our library serves are unable to afford the services the library provides to them for free.

Libraries are incredibly important for all communities. While it's great that the smallest ones are getting support, it's important for large cities too - after all the library provides resources for homeless and poverty striken families. These problems are especially prevalent in the cities of Missouri.

There is never a good time to cut funding to libraries but at this time especially with all the emphasis on technology and many do not have access to it without the public library.

I urge you to reconsider and deeply think of the effects this will have on local Missouri communities. Libraries help preschool age childreb be school ready. cutting funds means loss of programs and quintessential materials for citizens.
