Ask the Governor to Release Funds for Missouri's Public Libraries

The legislature allocated the funds, the Governor should not be able to withhold them. Libraries are important to our communities so the money should be released immediately.

I am very angry that this is even an issue. The library is one of the most important resources in a community. This shows me how ignorant our government is and it makes me embarrassed that these people represent me.

Libraries provide a wealth of resources and knowledge some cannot attain anywhere else. We are a young family that needs to be able to use the library for Internet and printer access for school. We also are avid readers and I teach my kids everyday the importance of reading. Please do not withhold money to such an important part of our community!

State revenue is up over 5% or more of projections. There is no reason not to release these funds. Please, Governor Nixon, release the withheld funds for FY2015.,
