Early literacy is key to a child's educational experience and libraries provide this to everyone in the community in a way that no one else can.

I am a Missouri voter and an avid user of library services in Missouri. This is an important issue for students, children, intellectuals, artists, writers, and to low-income Missourians who may not otherwise have access to resources such as books, computers, printers, and internet connections. Withholding funds is bad for Missourians and prohibits low income Missourians as well as rural Missourians who live in less populated areas. I have, in the past, not been impressed by the governor's views on education and this withholding of funds for libraries leaves only a further negative impression. I am a college student pursuing a career in education and this is the kind of issue that would have a big impact upon my voting decisions.

All libraries need funding. May people do without Internet and come to the library for it. Release state funding so all libraries can thrive.

It's repulsive that our state refuses to release funding for public libraries. Libraries provide social services beyond books. They provide equal access to a wealth of global knowledge while fostering our local communities. So shameful that Missouri can never seem to do the right thing

I'm a school librarian and I use my local public library every day, whether online or in person. Their books, databases, ebooks, and even their staff are a constant resource in my classroom. Please release the state funding promised to our public libraries. The services they provide support the entire population, especially our children!
