Education is not the place to trim the budget. Education results in better citizens of Missouri. Library computers are the only source many people have to conduct business. Even the IRS requires tax forms to be downloaded now. Put the money where it is needed and not in someone's pocket.

Please reconsider the budget cuts you are making to Missouri's Public Libraries. I was a teacher for over 25 years and cannot put into words what an invaluable resource the library system was. (I've been retired for 9 months.) Our greatest asset as a state and as a nation is a well educated public. Our public libraries are an essential part of that education.

My kids and I love to read, and it's still a special treat to get to go to the library.
