I have loved to the Midcontinent Public Library every since I was a kid and still love going there to this day! I would hate to see anything happen to the place that I find such great joy in visiting and I know many many others feel the same way about this great resource we have access to!

Is there something in the water down in Jeff City? Everyone that goes down there to "represent the people" becomes brain dead. Now it is the governor.

Libraries are a wonderful resource for all of the public. They help with reading programs for young and old. Partner with schools on reading programs, research, computer use and more. They are the best deal for the buck!

Libraries are so valuable especially for the working poor in our communities as many do not have access to computers, internet, books, etc..

The library is an invaluable resource in my community. Not only do my children and I check out printed and audio books, music and movies weekly, but it is also a place where the entire community gathers--the different races and rich and poor. It's really one of the few "public" spaces in my community, where all members of the community can be found together in one place. My community is richer for having an adequately funded library and to deprive the library of funding is literally an attack on the community as a whole.

I believe libraries are becoming even more important than they ever were before as children are not being taught many things in school that they once were.

If you aren't supporting libraries, then you're just giving up on the commonweal.

I support state funding of missouri public libraries. You could say getting my vote depended on it, because it does. Please release the funds.

Libraries are important for all the residents. Now that more technology makes access to information faster, we need more funding. The future generations could use it. It helps with illiteracy problems, also.

Continue to financially support our libraries, or face a growing population of ignorant illiterates.
