I am employed at the Kansas City Public Library and know without a doubt this cut in state support will lead to reduced services, reduced new books, reduced hours or operation and reduced staff. The libraries of Missouri cannot be a free resource to communities with so little support. Stop trying to reduce the budget on the backs of these incredibly important institutions.

I am employed at the Kansas City Public Library and know without a doubt this cut in state support will lead to reduced services, reduced new books, reduced hours or operation and reduced staff. The libraries of Missouri cannot be a free resource to communities with so little support. Stop trying to reduce the budget on the backs of these incredibly important institutions.

As a student, and a teacher, I know how important public libraries are. Please. I grew up with very little, but I always had a library card. It made such a huge difference in my life. Now I am a teacher and a graduate student. Please, people need libraries.
