This is costing roughly a few dollars per tax payer per year. This is unacceptable. Keep library funding.

The state had $2.4B in revenue in 2014, $6.6 million is hardly anything next to that and the social services libraries provide are too great and are too needed for them to be diminished in any way. Keep the budget the same, or increase it.

Education is what makes America such a privileged country. To revoke the access of knowledge and inspiration to those who can't find it anywhere else is asking for more crime, more poverty, and will stifle the curious minds that we need to keep America moving in a positive direction. I am a teacher and I see how the children view their education and how it relates to their life every day. We are losing the children who care to learn and if we revoke the resources that are given to them, why should anyone care? This is a terrible, terrible mistake.

The library is for everyone, but the people that need the library the most are the less fortunate. You are hurting the elderly, poor, and youths in need.

Without public libraries my children would not have such a broad range of vocabulary or imagination. We frequent our public library Ina weekly basis. My children are also participating in many of the programs offered by the children's department of the library. It would be a shame to let go of a facility that helps our children in such a positive way.

My local library a huge part of my childhood, and something that I think all children, and adults, should have access to. They are an essential part of our communities.

Libraries are an essential part of local communities. At a time when our education system is struggling, how could one even fathom cutting library funding to make the problem even worse?
