The public library in Columbia, Missouri has been at the center of our family life for the past 40 years, and now includes our grandchildren. It has contributed more to our sense of identity than almost any other activity in which we've spent time. Libraries are hugely important. As a teacher, psychologist and educator - I am a firm supporter of public librarie. An educated public is the best investment a state can make for its future.
