Give us an option

Johnston County is one of the poorest counties in the state but has no income from the mining companies. That is wrong! Our roads are impacted by the many trucks using and destroying our roads. We need for the mining companies to pay their fair share to support our county instead of draining our county of non renewable resources. It is time for the mining companies to step up and do what is right! Our counties know what is best for us. Please quit the politics and let us decide what is best for us.

It would be nice to get paid for our resources.

Get out of your comfortable office and travel to some of the places that have highways that service quarries. Spend 1 day at the intersection of Hwy 48 & Hwy 22 and count the numbetr of big trucks that travel to and from Texas taking our natural resources from OKlahoma. These companies do not pay sales tax to Okla, but pay use tax to Texas. We need this severance fee to help pay for our roads that they are ruining day by day.

The amount of $ per tonnage is such a small part of the cost to the end users, but would greatly benefit our County and the people. We need road work constantly due to damages by heavy trucks. Windshields broken. Potholes damaged tires and suspension. The rails do tie up our traffic and especially dangerous is the delayed emergency response.

Counties resources are limited financially in rural Oklahoma & we as citizens should want what’s best for Oklahoma & not continue to give freebies to other states who are taking advantage.

This needs to pass!! The state of Oklahoma & it's counties should not be losing our natural resources without some compensation. Other states tax it when it comes through there states, so why aren't we??? Makes NO sense. Do the right thing & pass this!!!!

In the name of Jesus, I declare that the improved SB 960 shall be allowed out of committee to be heard in it’s updated form on the Oklahoma Senate floor. Amen

I am a supporter of this bill!! I believe Oklahoma should profit from the aggregates it allows to go anywhere other than the state of Oklahoma
