Ask DOPL to Protect All Utah Teens

This drive to neutrality really points to one thing, pushing innocent young people to a gay/trangender life without giving them all the information they deserve to make an informed choice. Let the therapists do their jobs! If someone wants help they should be able to choose a therapist who can best help. The notion that it can't be done is flawed!

Please respect the rights of parents and teens to choose for themselves the mental health treatment that they desire. This is their Constitutional right.

All should be given alternatives!

I think Therapists know more about how to talk to these Troubled Youth than the Government does. Let the Therapist's do their job without Government telling them what they can or cannot ask. Why does the Government always think they can do things better. Government needs to quit interfering and do what they do best and let the professionals do what they do best. That's why they went to school and learned their skills.

This eliminates the rights of children and parents to choose! Preserve their ability to talk about whatever they want and not exclude these issues.

Please return balance to the process of helping these children.

Legal Health Practitioners need the right to investigate truth, but not to harrass patients.

i cant believe this is even a question.

I attended the 2019 legislative hearing about the ban on conversion or change therapy. The language was vague and protected only a small group of teens. Please protect all teens, allow talk therapy and do not support licensing boards to override thorough and comprehensive research that will protect all children and youth.

That is a direct violation of agency and choice to prohibit therapy to teens and families that are seeking help in relationship to unwanted same gender feelings. It is important to note that healthy sexual development can be derailed through abuse and exposure to sexually deviant material. If help is denied it is absolutely tragic to those that have already been a victim.

Please vote to safe guard the rights of parents and families in determining what therapy is best for their children.

Freedom to choose, freedom to believe, freedom of speech, freedom of religion. Please correct verbiage to protect and enable both sides and all sides of belief and views.

Therapist should be able to discuss with Pt what is best for the Pt. In cases of strong religious beliefs and sexual curiosity we should be forcing them to embrace LGBT sexualities but rather help guide them through the period of questioning to decide for themselves which path they wish to take.

Liberty is about CHOICE. Please don’t limit choices to bow to a political agenda.

For heaven's sake, do we live in America or not? To curtail anyone's freedom to seek out the type of therapy they choose doesn't coincide with American principles.

I see this as a major free speech issue. This is a "political correctness" push to control thought and speech, and I am against that as being part of any government action.

It’s unfortunate I feel compelled to only use my last initial as I genuinely fear some of the more politically extreme from the far-left.

Restricting health care hurts patients.

All people, young and old, should be free to talk with a therapist about the issues they’re dealing with. Neither therapists nor young people should be muzzled just because the issue in question is sexuality. I hope the Utah Mental Health Licensing Board will continue to honor the rights of consumers and therapists.
