A therapist is there to work thru all issues and options, whatever the problem. Limiting therapists is thereby limiting the patient (in this case the child) from receiving the full benefit of working with the therapist. Are you going to put in language that says if the child affirms hetersexual, you will ONLY discuss that?

Why are you afraid of CHOICE? All topics should be open for discussion. If you are confused about gender identity you need to be able to consistently talk through all the issues facing you and not be limited.

Forbidding a point of view or a perspective is restricting free speech. Especially in this context where a person specifically wants, requests and even pays for conversation regarding his or her sexuality, it is not fair that that speech or conversation or counselling be prohibited. We should be able to discuss and study whatever we want, especially since there is no threat of this infringing on others in any way.

There are so many individual situations in the realm of gender attractions and identification. Allow individuals to exercise their rights. If they want counseling, allow it.

The most important issue in this proposal is the blatant violation of constitutional protections. Government should never limit the individuals freedom of speech, freedom of belief, and freedom of association. Any individual, or parent acting on behalf of an individual, should be able to seek help from other individuals who aren’t constrained by government in what they can and cannot say. An individual has the freedom to seek like-minded professionals when they need help. Parents are the guardians of their children. The right to raise your children as you see fit is fundamental and should be protected.

The wording of the proposed ruling is an infringement on the rights of teens, or others, who are confused with gender identity.They have a right to hear both sides of the issues before being coerced into making life-changing decisions which they may later regret.

What right does the state have is taking away options for therapy? If a family is struggling with gender confusion with their children, then why would we not want them to have all options available to help their children the way they feel is best? This is a restriction of freedom and the state has no rights to limit my choices.
